Brian Porch is a crime victim
advocate and has been with the Johnson County, Kansas, District Attorney's
Office since January 1990. During that time he has worked in the Victim
Assistance Unit as Volunteer Coordinator and finally in his current
position as Domestic Violence Court Advocate. Brian has a B.A. in Management
and Human Relations and has been a Kansas State Certified Prosecutor-Based
Victim Assistance Professional since 1998. He has provided training
for law enforcement regarding domestic violence issues since 1996,
is chair of the Education/Prevention Committee for the Community Violence
Action Council (COMVAC) and is on the Board of Directors for the Trauma
Support Network.
